Run by the Little Gate charity, the Little Gate Big Festival is an annual music and family fun festival in East Sussex. Having grown from a small open day into a three day event, Little Gate felt it was about time the festival had its own website.
In creating the website for the festival we wanted it to focus on the event itself, rather than the charity behind it, so it would appeal both to general festival-goers and those who wanted to support the charity.
We worked closely with the festival organisers and their graphic designer to ensure that there was continuity between all the marketing activity.
As well as designing the website, we also wrote the content for it, bringing together the information which had already been collated and adding our own input through research of similar sites.
The festival website shouts “fun!” as soon as you arrive on it. It provides ‘teaser’ information about the acts at the festival, with ample nudges to encourage the reader to purchase tickets.
A more detailed information section provides festival-goers with everything they need to know – cunningly hidden as expandable content so the site doesn’t appear too text heavy.
It was a fabulous site to work on with a great creative team and all for a very worthy cause.
