Transferring your website to us
We are happy to take on most WordPress websites, although we will need to review your website to make sure we can manage it to the high standards it deserves.
There’s no fee to transfer your website to us and we’ll take care of the whole process for you.
What our hosting includes
Our website hosting is fast and secure. Your website will benefit from security measures including a software firewall to block attacks and security certificates to encrypt data.
The hardware (ie servers) which store (or “host”) your website are monitored 24/7, with a backup taken every 12 hours so that, in the unlikely event of a failure, your website can be reinstated quickly.

How do I transfer my website to you? +
Firstly, we’ll need the website files. You’ll either need to send these to us (we can give you instructions) or provide us with access to your current hosting arrangement so we can do this for you.
There are a couple of ways to manage this process. Often, we can use a website migration tool within WordPress to carry out the migration. When this isn’t possible, we’ll assist you to save all your website files and send them to us.
We’ll then set up a “hidden” version of your website on our server for testing, which enables us to ensure that everything is present and correct before the transfer is completed.
When we’re ready to transfer, we’ll help you to make the necessary changes to your website domain to point it at our servers instead of your previous ones.
How do you protect my presence in Google/AI searches when the website transfers to you? +
Changing your website hosting shouldn’t affect your Google ranking or visibility in AI searches.
Can you host websites which aren’t built in WordPress? +
No, we don’t specialise in other website building systems, we only host WordPress websites (including WooCommerce). However, we can take on the management of your Shopify website (which would remain hosted by Shopify).
Can you manage Shopify websites? +
Yes, after a review to check we’re happy with the underlying structure, we’re generally happy to take on the management of Shopify websites.
Can you manage Wix or Squarespace websites? +
Sorry, no, we don’t offer support for these types of websites.
Where do you host your websites? +
Our hosting partner is Clook, is a UK-based hosting company that specialises in agency requirements. Should we need their help, their average response time is under 15 minutes, 24/7. We have trusted Clook with our websites since the early 2000s.
How secure are your websites? +
Our website security features include:
- Software firewall to detect and block malicious code.
- We only use plugins (software) where essential and source these from trusted providers.
- All plugins and WordPress version kept up to date with security patches.
- Constant monitoring – for uptime, unauthorised content changes and unusual behaviours.
- Security certificates – all our websites are secured with a security certificate (also known as SSL or https) which encrypts any data users send from your website, such as in a contact form. We include this with our hosting package.
What happens if there is a failure? +
Even the most prestigious websites do occasionally have problems!
We minimise the impact of any issues through 24/7 monitoring of your website (so any unusual activity is spotted quickly) and taking a full backup of your website every 12 hours, so we can restore your website from the latest backup.
